Volunteer Counsellors Vacancy

Berkshire Women's Aid provides support and refuge to women and children affected by domestic abuse.  We are looking to recruit female counsellors to join our dedicated team.

The Berkshire Women's Aid Counselling service is run by a group of counsellors who have completed or are completing a British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited course. Our counsellors are non-judgemental and non-directive.  Supervision is mandatory and provided by peer supervision.  Our counsellors work within the 'Ethical Framework of Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy'.

We are seeking volunteer counsellors qualified to diploma level or above with counselling experience.  Whilst having a person centred core approach, we are seeking to encourage applicants from other modalities such as Gestalt; CBT and Psychodynamic.  In our existing team we have a hypnotherapist who also work with EFT, and we would value adding to this area of expertise also.

If you are interested and able to give a minimum of 2 hours per week of your time, either during the day or evening please email bwainfo@ukonline.co.uk
