A typical refuge bedroom

Our refuges may be terraced, semi-detached or detached houses. They may be right in the centre of a town or in a quiet road in the suburbs.
All our refuges have gardens with safe play equipment for the children.
Most of the bedrooms are single rooms, some with washbasins.
All our houses have shared kitchens. The women normally have their own lockable cupboards and buy and prepare their own meals.
Living rooms are bright and comfortable. Most houses have cleaning rotas, and it is up to the women living there to keep the shared rooms clean and tidy.
