Our Journey: Then & Now

This year, BWA proudly marks 50 years of standing beside survivors affected by domestic abuse. Since 1975, our core belief has remained the same:

Everyone deserves to live free from fear.

Over five decades, we’ve:

  • Provided refuge and outreach support to thousands of families

  • Delivered prevention workshops in schools and communities

  • Partnered with police, councils, and health services

  • Advocated for survivors at every level
